proud {momma} moment

Okay.. as a Mom we get to brag on our kids here and there.. and this is my turn. lOl
My sweet little fourth grader brought home his reading and comprehension testing and scored at an 8th grade level.
*happy dance of joy*
That’s my boy!!! We may not be math wizards, but we can knock back a good book and have a fun discussion.
So, here he is, doing his favorite..  reading on a snowy afternoon.
Thanks for letting me brag. ;0 )

{366} day 18

It was cold today. Cold cold cold.
But I kept warm by watching American Idol and laughing my butt off all night. I usually only stick with AI through the tryouts… then it stops being so funny and gets serious and I move on. I know, i know… how can I stop watching when it gets to the real talent? Because then it gets emotional and people get sent home. I dont’ know. I like the secondhand embarrassing tryout episodes best. Does that make me a total jerk? lOl I hope not!
Have a great night!

{366} day 17

Although I am grateful that this winter has been very mild, my heart is already yearning for spring.
I can’t wait for flowers in bloom in and green green grass. Flip flops and sprinklers and banana popcicles.
Ohhh warm sunshine and a cool breeze… I can’t wait to have you back!

let the {rain} pour down

We still have our smiles and goofies!
I can’t even tell you how much these two make my heart burst with happiness. They always make me laugh, so hard. They are quite amazing and wonderful in their own sweet and unique ways.
Welcome to my crazy life. ;0 )
Their laughing faces kill me. Every time.

{366} day 16

More Valentine DIY fun!
Tonight while I sat around watching the Bachelor, which, BTW, I don’t normally do, but because Matt Nathanson was making a guest appearance I decided to give it a go. I plopped down with my paper hearts, string and a needle and got to work.
WOW. WOW. WOW.
I can’t believe how some of these women were so … I can’t even think of the proper way to describe them without being mean. But they were just so rude to each other and catty. No wonder why women don’t trust other women easily. Shows like this make friendships between women seem impossible. All the mean spirited comments. It really did nothing for me. My husband sat on the couch next to me muttering under his breath here and there about how crazy these girls are.
So, I will never again watch the Bachelor. Even if Matt Nathanson pops in for half the show.
I think I will stick with my addiction to Big Bang Theory and Once Upon A Time. lOl
